This ball is great, it keeps my Border Collie busy and entertained. I would recommend it to anyone. It is not quite indestructible, took a while before she chewed up the first one, the replacment arrived on time and she was so excited to get another one.

I feed my german shepard mix his meals by filling it up twice a day. It entertains him, pushing it around and eating the kibble and I think provides some stimulation. He will bring it to me to fill and sometimescarry it out to the garden to dine Al Fresco with me while I work.

A friend of mine has this and I wanted to get one for my dog. It keeps the dog entertained for hours (Or until treats inside run out). It is constructed well and over is great - Only complaint I have is the size. It is small enough to roll under the sofa and chairs so it seems like I am constantly pulling it out from under there for my boxer. She whines until I do so... But she LOVES it!!!

This is a fun toy to keep your dog occupied. My dog has always been a picky eater (likes to turn her nose up at kibbles) but she's more inclined to eat her food out of the treat ball. It took her about a day to figure out (at first, she just wanted to play fetch with it, and didn't understand the concept of rolling it). Once she got the rolling motion down, she went kind of crazy with it. Now I just put her kibbles in it, set it down and she goes rolling it around my apartment (very amusing).

I'd say the only con is that it does get kind of dirty. She slobbers a bit and then hairs/lint/etc. from the floor stick to the ball, and also, you've got to be careful to avoid putting wet food in the ball because you can't open it to clean the inside.

I've had dogs from 9 wks to 12 years old play with this toy. It is my boxer's favorite of all the food dispensing toys because it is easy to pick up because of the dimples on it when it get stuck in corners or when she wants to bring it to me to be re-filled!
Some dogs will try to chew on it when it is empty and it may need to be put away to keep it from being destroyed.

My dog has never been interested in other similar food-dispensing toys, which is odd because she is VERY food motivated. I always thought it was a design issue (hard plastic, treats didn't really fit, low reward-to-effort ratio). But when I saw this I had to try again - it's soft (rubber/plastic?), so she can pick it up (and toss it). It's also good for filling with plain kibble - practical too! We both have a ball ... pretty much every night.

Our lab LOVES her "food ball!" At 12 1/2 she is still high energy, and it is so entertaining for her that it helps take the edge off. We reduce her dry food by the handful of kibble that goes into the ball, to keep the calories down. She knows to bring the ball and place it in our hands when it's time for this treat, and it's become an essential part of her day.

When you use this ball for the first few times be sure to FILL it with kibble. That way the dog won't sit down and chew the ball, food will come flying out easily and your dog will quickly work out how to use it. Keeps dogs busy! Avoids inhalation of food as can happen using a food bowl. Dogs are more likely to chew each piece of kibble. The manufacturer needs to drill a hole in the bottom of each ball so water will drain out after cleaning.
