    I didn't actually need a new microwave--my 27-year-old monster was still working like new but it was such a space taker in my small kitchen and I was fed up with the wood-grain exterior (ugh!)and figured I was entitled to a change. This cute retro design perks up my kitchen and it's just as powerful as the old one AND quieter. Simple to operate, too--one button to push and you get a minute of high power; one or two presses on another button reduces the power for defrosting, etc. The turn table makes it defrost more evenly than my old microwave. I've only had it for a day, so I can't comment on the long-term durability but so far I'm glad I spent the money. Very reasonably priced.
