North States Easy Close Baby Gate
The North States Easy Close Baby Gate is 29"H and made of heavy-duty metal construction. It fits openings 28" to 31-1/2" without extensions, but expands to 38-1/2" with the included gate extensions. This gate swings in both directions and features a double-locking system with 1-hand operation. It is very easy to install by using the 4 screw-in tension knobs. Comes in white. This gate can also double as a pet gate.

            I purchased two of these gates to keep my active 9 month old daughter from getting into the kitchen and our bedroom. This gate was extremely easily to put up and it came with two extensions. I did choose to pressure mount both gates and did not elect to use the additional sticky tape that came with it. This gate is secure and I really like the pressure mounts that secure it to the walls or door frame. It doesn't look like the mounts will take the paint off the wall like some of the other gates on the market. My child stands against these gates and pushes and it doesn't budge. I have even forgotten that I have a gate in the doorway and have walked into them and they haven't moved. I feel very confident that my daughter is safe and will not figure out how to unlock these gates for many years. Previous gates I have purchased I ended up returning because the locking mechanism seemed to simple and my daughter would probably figure out by the time she was 1. This gate had a slight learning curve for me to figure out initially, but now it's very simple and I can open it one handed while I hold the baby. I also have a cat and had to place one of the gates approximately 5 inches off the ground so the cat could crawl under and it works great. It's really hard to find a gate that works for both kids and cats and this one fits the bill. It should also be noted that the other gate is installed in a door frame and we are still able to open and close the door even with the gate in place. Great great and you wont regret getting it.
