This thing is amazing for the price. Unlike the oster My Blend(Also under 50$) this is more heavy duty, with a much better blade. This things has an extremely sharp blade and works great with ice. It chops ice like my snow cone machine.

I use my Ninja every day to make Green Smoothies. It pulverizes whatever greens I use. Does a great job on spinach, kale, etc. I also put a small piece of ginger in with my fruits and vegetables and it mixes very well with all the different textures in the bowl. I can stuff the bowl full and only once in a while do I have to push some spinach leaves down. Pulsing helps keep things mixed up. Once it is all mixed I will hold the button down for 30 seconds. Great little machine for the price. Beats paying over $400 for a more expensive blenders. Crushes ice with ease. Have made snow cones with it also.

I have tried many prep machines, and so far this is my favorite! I am a frozen cola fanatic, and use it every day to make my own frozen drinks. I can use regular or diet sodas or other liquids, so in the summer when I am extra calorie conscious I can make it the way I want. And it makes great smoothies and shakes. A great price for what you can do with it.

We use the Ninja for smoothies and it crushes the ice cubes with its double blade design like they are water. It is also great for chopping pulled pork or beef for BBQ. Aslo, and is a snap for chopping onions, peppers and tomatoes(without peeling) for salsa. This is a great product worth the money.

We use this to make smoothies. Crushes ice better than a blender, but I start w/ice crushed from my ice maker and not whole cubes. I think the small container does a great job making egg salad & my husband was very glad we had the Ninja when he first got his braces. He needed everything blended and this product worked well. I clean it it the dishwasher and am pleased at how easy it cleans. A negative is, I don't like having to pulse to run it. I would much rather be able to turn it on and let it run on it's own.

We use the ninja to make smoothies, and it does a great job of crushing the ice. Also, we have made salsa in the machine too. It's very simple and easy to use.
It doesn't have a lot of features or options, but it can do so much for such a small machine. It's very easy to store, too.
