Care instructions: Spot clean only. Do not machine wash or dry. To eliminate odors and/or stains, gently spot clean using a mild detergent. Expose to direct sunlight. Air dry, allowing to dry completely. To freshen your wool-filled product, expose to sunlight and air. Sunshine brings out the natural lanolin in wool, allowing it to self-deodorize. As an alternative, your wool-filled product may be placed in dryer with a few clean, new tennis balls. Place dryer on air cycle for 10 minutes. Do not use heat.

    Firstly, the price on this item was far below the price at a local store. It is a high quality mattress topper, natural, very cushy. Lovely to sleep on. Since it is made of something called 'smart wool', I was assuming it was washable. But no such luck. Dry clean only. Why would you want to send your natural bedding to a dry cleaner where they use chemicals to clean it?

        I bought this to top a slightly older mattress to make it a little bit more comfortable. As soon as I took it out of the package i couldn't believe how thin it was! Yes it measures 1.5 inches thick but put your finger on it and it might as well be two thin sheets put together. The "wool filling" is worthless. Very disappointed for the money paid for it. Already sent back for return!

          When it arrived it was *much* thinner than it appeared in the photo and I almost just popped it back in the box and returned it. But I decided to try it anyway. I did have to put it on top of an eggcrate to make it thick enough I must admit, otherwise, it would be too thin. But it is very cushioney. It made a big difference on my hard mattress. Much better than latex, foam or feather.
