This is a pretty but poorly designed chime clock. The chimes are miserably out of tune (terrible for musicians or anyone with an ear). The music is a pre-recorded chime which is lovely (I've only heard the Xmas tunes), but rather lame when you consider the design and the PRICE. This is my first experience with Mr. Christmas clocks and will most likely be my last

I have received this item as a Christmas present
and I can highly recommend it to others both for
its eleagant appearance and the crisp richness of its sound. It would make an excellent addition
to any mantle place or anywhere else an adornment
is needed. The dark color of the wood also brings to mind the musical clocks of years past.

On the not so positive side however, the plastic knob which is for the clock adjustment does have a tendency to come loose. I don't know if this defect is just particular to my unit or is caused by the chime vibration. There was also some factory glue residue on some of the chimes but this can easily be removed with some paint thinner. Otherwise, an excelent product that should be treasured and passed on to other loved ones.

Clock is a great addition to all decor. Very accurate timepiece and has a rich, beautiful sound.
