This is a really neat product. But my son was truly too young. In fact, it took my husband and brother a few trys to get the first build right. But the concept is great. Just think it's for much older kids.

The Berg product is great.However, the model sent was an older model that has instructions for the assembly of 4 vehicles. The Meijer website was misleading, suggesting that would make 10 vehicles as the current mode does.[...].Nonetheless, the product is great and my children love it.

I have two boys in the recommended age set (5-12) and they have really enjoyed building the various depicted models as well as their own designs. The great part is that they can do the building and riding of their creations indoors while the weather is not so good. (The smooth parts and no special tool requirement made me comfortable to allow indoor assembly!) I would say the older boy finds the assembly more intuitive and that it is better suited to 8+ unless a parent is wanting to be involved in building. Younger ones enjoy the helping and riding. Big 11-12 year olds may not find they fit the designs easily.

Can you imagine your kids building their own Big Wheel? How about their own scooter?

This kit lets them do that...without tools! It's reminiscent of Erector set except with rubber bands.

My four-year-old is strong enough to do it. I help because I love building things too.

There are 10 "models" they can build, not just four. The "models" are full-sized ridable toys. They are best assembled inside and rolled outside. Nice quality, good instructions, and even intrigued my 6 year-old girl to help.

They built the "Dino Bird" and love it.

Don't be put off by it just looking like wood and rubber bands -- it is VERY well designed. The bands hold pieces into location; it's not like a rubber band holding things together. I can safely ride the things built and I'm not small.
