We purchased several Misty Mates to use with our split system air conditioners. They are set to make a cooling mist in front of the outside compressor air intake. Last year we had instances of our A/Cs shutting down or not being able to provide all the cooling necessary during very hot weather. The only improvement we had to make to the Misty Mate was clamping the hose at connectors on each misting head. The barb fitting was not sufficient to retain the hose with the water pressure our faucets supply. We secured them with small cable ties around the pipe at the connector barb and now they work fine.

In the Michigan humity you need to plan on getting a little wet with this mister. It is great for using the deck on hot days, just make sure you plan ahead because the spray goes with the wind, not the sprayer direction.
