This kitchen set is extremely charming, colorful, simple, durable, and definitely well-priced. My 18-month-old granddaughter started playing with it immediately and is "making food" every day. It is great for eye-hand coordination, and unlike some other similar products, the tops are easy to get on and off. I have only the highest praise for the product. Excellent quality and long-term shelf-life. I think it would be appropriate even for children 6 or 7, who are still interested in "play" kitchens.

I bought this set to go with a wooden play kitchen that we got for our just-turned-2 year old daughter for Christmas. I was specifically looking for accessories and play food that are not plastic, so these are perfect. After I had already ordered these, I discovered that the play kitchen actually came with a couple of plastic pots and pans, so I considered returning these - but these are a bit bigger, so they actually hold a couple pieces of play food, and my daughter just seems to like the weightiness of these - less chintzy or something, I guess, or it makes her feel like she's playing with something more "real." Plus - they are just so cute! My only nitpick is that the potholder didn't have a loop or ribbon to hang it on the little hooks in her kitchen, so I'll be sewing one on! (Someday.)
