  • Ingredients: Dehydrated Potato with Preservative (Sodium Bisulfite), Enriched Flour (Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Maltodextrin, Corn Starch, Salt, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil with Emulsifier (Mono- and Diglycerides), Whey, Monosodium Glutamate, Cheddar Cheese (Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes), Natural and Artificial Flavor, Corn Syrup Solids, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Dehydrated Celery, Blue Cheese (Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes), Color (Paprika, Annatto Extract), Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Sodium Caseinate, Spice, Dehydrated Onion, Disodium Phosphate, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Food Starch-Modified, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein.
  • You Will Need: 2 cups boiling water, 3/4 cup 2% milk, 2 tablespoons margarine or butter. Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine 2 cups boiling water, 2 tablespoons margarine (or butter), and 3/4 cup 2% milk in a 1-1/2 quart baking dish. Stir in cream sauce mix. Add potato slices and stir thoroughly. Bake uncovered 30 to 35 minutes or until top is golden brown and potatoes are tender. Let stand a few minutes. For high altitude: Heat oven to 425°F and proceed as directed above. Microwave: Prepare as directed for oven preparation, except use 3-quart microwave oven-safe dish. Increase boiling water to 2-1/2 cups; do not stir in milk. Cover and microwave on High for 15 minutes. Stir in milk. Cover and microwave 5 minutes. Stir. Let stand 5 minutes. Cooking time is approximate because microwave ovens vary. Stovetop: Heat potatoes, sauce mix, 2 cups hot water, 2 tablespoons margarine or butter and 3/4 cup 2% milk to boiling in 2-quart saucepan over high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 to 16 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender and sauce is as thick as you'd like. (Sauce will thicken as it stands.) For high altitude: Increase simmer time to 21 to 23 minutes.

    I add sliced smoked sausage to the potatoe mix and then bake as directed...tastes so good. Smells good while baking too.
