In the past, I always bought either the Kleenex brand or Puffs facial tissues, and refused to buy the store brand, since EVERY store brand tissue I'd tried was scratchy, thin, and uncomfortable...that was until I found the Meijer brand. For the last three years, I have purchased the Meijer brand tissues exclusively, except for the rare occasion when I was in the local [...] and was out of tissues at home and needed to buy a box on the spot. Otherwise, I'd go out of my way to purchase the Meijer brand. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference in the Meijer and the Kleenex brand, which is what sold me on them. I also looked forward to sales on Meijer brand tissues, which is when I would stock up. I usually buy several boxes at a time. Up until recently, I was a very satisfied customer, and would recommend the Meijer brand tissues to anyone.Last week, I purchased five boxes of the Meijer brand tissues because I had run out of boxes at home. Shortly after I'd opened the first box, I tried one, and was shocked. My first thought was, "Who replaced my soft tissues with these scratchy, harsh ones?" I then asked my husband if he'd tried the new tissues. He said yes, but asked me, "What happened to them? They feel scratchy and so thin!" Well, I knew it wasn't just me (I am starting to get a cold and I thought that maybe my nose was a little more sensitive than normal). I was shocked that the quality had changed, A LOT. As silly as it may sound, I even compared the quality of a tissue in the new box with one in an older box I'd purchased several weeks ago (just to make sure that it wasn't just me). Wow! The difference was immediately OBVIOUS. The old one felt like the soft tissue I was used to, and the new one made me feel like I was blowing my nose into a paper napkin (and for those that have done this, you know how uncomfortable that feels). BIG difference!I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am in whatever genius it was that decided to change the formula they use in making Meijer tissues! The most disappointing thing is that not only do I have to go back to the more expensive Kleenex and Puffs brands (which there is no doubt in my mind that is exactly what I will do), but that I'm stuck with FOUR more boxes of these inferior tissues! Meijer, please bring back the old formula. If you've changed to this new uncomfortable, thin, scratchy tissue to save a little money in production, please know that you've lost a customer in doing so. I buy a LOT of Meijer brand products (I am drinking Encore cola (Meijer brand) right now as I write this), and if this change is any indication of the path of quality (or lack there of) that you are taking, I might as well forget buying Meijer brand products and go back to the national brands, or just get the Great Value brand that [...] offers. Such a disappointment!

I used to buy Meijers tissues exclusively, but they have recently changed them! So sad :-( they were so affordable and in my opinon better than Puffs brand. I reccomended them to everyone I knew, for value and high quality. Now they are so thin I can't use them! I guess it is back to Puffs brand for me. I am so dissapointed in you Meijers for thinking we wouldn't notice such a huge difference in quality! At first I thought I just got a bad box or two, maybe they had just been part of a bad batch - but now every box is like this. I'll try them again in a year or so and see if they change back to the tissues I loved.
