• Ingredients: Organic Long Grain Brown Rice.
• Preparation instructions: Store in, a cool, dry place. Cooking: Stove Top: Measure 2 1/2 cups of water into a saucepan with a tight-fitting lid and bring to a boil. Add 2 tsp of organic butter or olive oil and 1 tsp of salt, if desired. Stir in 1 cup of organic brown rice. Cover saucepan, lower heat and simmer for 35-40 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. For firmer rice, use less water. For softer rice, use more water. Microwave: combine 1 cup of organic brown rice, 2 1/2 cups of water, 2 tsp of organic butter or olive oil and 1 tsp of salt, if desired, into a microwave-safe dish with a tight-fitting lid. Cover and microwave on High (100%) power for 5 minutes. Stir gently. Reduce power to medium (50%) and continue cooking for 31-24 minutes until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Let rice rest for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. For firmer rice, use less water. For softer rice, use more water.
