Comments about Meijer Naturals Niacin No-Flush Capsules - 50 Count 50 Count:

The labeling of the Niacin No Flush product (250 mg) is misleading or outright incorrect. While the "No Flush" heading is correct, the product ingredients label does not correctly reflect what the product is made of. The label says "NIACIN" without saying what form of niacin is in the bottle, implying that it is a pure, ACTIVE FORM NIACIN. I believe that the form of Niacin in the bottle is probably inositol hexaninicotinate which is biologically inactive. Some of the Meijer Naturals list the ingredients as "Inositol Hexanicotinate" or "DERIVED FROM INOSITOL HEXANICTINATE." However the 250mg dose bottle says nothing about the form of Niacin, so one might incorrectly assume that it is the ACTIVE FORM OF NIACIN. Most likely, the product is inadvertently mislabeled or is purposly mislabeled in an attempt to mislead the consumer. After all, this is not an FDA inspected product. Caveat emptor!!!
