They seem to be as high quality as other milk thistle extracts that I've seen. There's some evidence that this can prevent oxidative damage to your liver -- but make sure that if you know that you have liver problems, you talk it over with your health care professional first. Studies that have shown that milk thistle works have been either small, or not very well designed, so there's not a ton of evidence. It's not a silver bullet, but think of this as one more layer of protection.

But a word to the wise about dosing -- the bottle recommends taking three pills a day. So when comparing this to other pills for cost, remember that you're really getting a 20 day supply.
