Meijer Light Brown Sugar - 1 Bag (64 oz)
1 Bag = 64 oz (4 lb) 1.8 kg; Sugar - light brown. Perfect for all you baking needs. Excellent for baking.

  • 1 Bag of 64 oz (4 lb) 1.8 kg
  • Ingredients: Sugar, Cane Molasses.
  • Storage and softening: Store tightly sealed. Freeze if storing for a long period of time. Hardened brown sugar can be softened by placing in a suitable container and heating in a 200F oven for 20 minutes or by microwaving on high for 1-2 minutes (rotating container 1/2 turn halfway through heating time). As soon as sugar is soft, measure the amount needed. It will harden again when cool. Alternate method: Place sugar in an air-tight container. Lay a piece of plastic wrap on top of sugar. On top of plastic, place a slice of frozen bread and seal container tightly overnight. Remove bread and seal container tightly after each use.

    This brown sugar results in a color that is not too light and not too dark (and harsher tasting), unlike the results I've experienced with the other major brand on the shelf. I always get a perfect, sweet, medium-color when I use this brown sugar in my preferred chocolate chip cookie recipe. Highly recommend!
