      I bake pumpkin pies, make pumpkin soup and I feed it to my dog-yes, my spoiled lab gets it to keep his weight down, keep his [*] firm for pick up and he LOVES it as a treat--I mean loves it. Pumpkin is full of Beta Carotene (VIT A precursor) Very healthy carb. Due to the floods last year, the shortage of pumpkin resulted in "none" in the shelves in Norfolk VA.                                 This is a great alternative to the name brand product - item is fresh and the cans I got, the pumpkin was thick and not watery at all. I would get more of this if I could! Unfortunately there is a limit of what you can order at one time. Item arrived well packaged and undamaged. Would definitely purchase again!
