    I would NOT recommended this collar to anyone who wants to keep their cat from strangling themselves. I am a pet trainer/vet assistant/long time pet owner. I have seen too many cats hurt/choke themselves because of owners using regular collars or cheap breakaway collars. This is one that would do that. I had a very hard time getting this collar open. A cat in distress wouldn't be able to get it off. I will be getting a true "Break-Away" brand collar for my cat.
