I love this set of dishes-- we use them daily (for 6 months now) and I'm very happy with them. They have held up well-- only chipped one plate so far and we aren't overly gentle with them. I plan to buy more in a few years when these finally wear out!

This is a very attractive set; I like the shapes and flat black finish. They are very substantial, and surprisingly heavy. I think they will hold up well. They are dishwasher, oven and freezer safe - all good things.

However, if I had seen them before ordering them, I wouldn't have bought them. At least 1/3 of the pieces have flaws, such as little bumps, small chips in the finish, nicks, etc. Also, the dinner plates are too large to fit in my cabinets. The mugs, while beautiful to look at, hold a full 16 oz, and because they are so large, and only half-filled, the coffee tends to get cold before I can finish it.

And finally, they are made in China. That alone would have been enough to keep me from buying the set, had I known. I will keep this set, and use it, but am a bit disappointed with it.
