This was one of my daughter's favorite toys for about two years. Leapfrog makes really good learning toys. This one has the alphabet on the caterpillar's feet. Kids can move the sliding switch to hear letter names, letter sounds, or a song for each letter. She loved the music before she was old enough to learn the letters and then it helped her learn the letters and their sounds when she entered preschool.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
