Don't waste your money

Comments about Lasko 1820 18-Inch Adjustable Performance Pedestal Fan:

None of the components "lock" securely in place. The pole just rests in the base, and the same goes for the motor-to-pole connection. The front grill doesn't fully attach to the back because the plastic "locking" tabs don't match up properly to the slots. Also, it was advertised as "whisper quiet", but it's rather loud even on the lowest speed.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
