      After breaking 3 other brand mixers while mixing bread, pie or cookie dough, I decided to spend a little more money on my next mixer... so I purchased a kitchen aid. It has been the best decision. 10 years later, the mixer is still going like its brand new. Because of this mixer, kitchen aid is my forever brand. I always recommend my mixer, or purchase as a gift.

          I bought this mixer when my last one died in the middle of a recipe for banana chocolate chip bars. The thin wire beaters cut through every ingredient and don't seem to be slowed down by anything I've mixed so far. The power is great - no need for the power burst featured on some other hand mixers. The only problem is the cord which needs to be rolled up each time. I found that a long twisty helps with this, though.
