I have torn up many blenders (from over-use). My son who eats a special diet, thru gtube, has to have his daily foods blended. This blender is one of the only ones that has not broken from daily use. It is noisy, so I do wear ear plugs, but I've never seen a blender that isn't and this one is much sturdier than others I've bought, which are now broken. It's well constructed and works great.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
