The stool itself is very nice once you get past the actual putting it together part. I was very disappointed in how the instructions were very difficult to follow. Just had to hit or miss and see how it worked best as far as the order of which pieces to put on first. There were spots where the holes were in the wrong spot. And one piece didn't have any of the holes drilled into it at all. I had to order the part from the company. The did get it to me very quickly though and without hassle.

I got this stool for my daughter who is 18 months. It's actually much smaller than I thought it was going to be. The smaller size worked out well for us since we use it in our tiny bathroom and our daughter is still able to reach the sink and toilet. She is very tall for her age though. I was surprised at the blemished wood however. It almost looks like it had been banged around a bit however in manual that comes with it they say this is to be expected.

    Took a little time to assemble maybe 30min. My 3 year old loves it. Perfect height for reaching the sink. She'll pick it up and tote it all around the house to access things. Meant more diligence on the child proofing as she now has more access.

            The stool took longer to put together than anticipated. The lid does not close all the way. The finish is very rough on the lid of the stool. The particle board that makes up the stool is low quality with poor finishing. It will do the job, but if I hadn't bought this on sale then I would think that it was definitely overpriced and would return it.

                I love this step stool but some of the predrilled holes were at wrong distance. My husband still managed to put it together but the lid cannot be completely closed because of it.

                          Gift for my 2yr old grandson - perfect to step up to bathroom sink for hand-washing, teeth-brushing, etc. Very sturdy, all parts fit perfectly, all hardware provided, except you'll need to provide your own Philips screwdriver. Neat compartment to keep favorite toy (Thomas train engine, now) in. Sale at half-price, [...]no tax .. what's not to like?
