    We bought this product for our son's 2nd birthday! He loves the set and plays with it everyday. The colors are very vibrant, the design of the tracks is nice and allows you room on the table to add on. The table does come with trains, cars, etc, but the quality isn't that good. This set works well with Thomas wooden railway trains, but not with the motorized Thomas trains. The motorized trains do not fit through the bridge or cave. [...] Some parts of the track do not have a tight fit to the other pieces, causing the tracks to be loose and come apart. This is quite annoying for a 2-year old and a parent who has to constantly put it back together for him.Resolution: I contacted Kidkraft and [...] The replacement tracks didn't resolve the problem with some of the tracks not staying in place. To secure the tracks together, the company recommended Sticky Tac (which is a sort of non-permanent tape). We have since "taped" the entire track down to the table and now it is the perfect table! If we want, we can still remove the tracks with little to no noticeable damage from the tape.I would have given the table a 3 star, but because of the professionalism and promptness of the company to resolve the problem, I chose to give it a 4!

    The table itself is fairly easy to assemble but the track is a pain. And when you get the track all assembled, per instructions, it doesn't match the design on the table. You can look at a picture of it and you can tell that. The road crossing, on the track, doesn't line up with the road on the table. The end of the railroad track ends up on the road. The table top design was very poorly done. They should have set the whole thing up on the table and THEN designed the table top.

      this train set was give to my 2 1/2 year old son on christmas. He played with it for 14 hours straight and even 2 weeks later first thing he says in the morning is "going to play with my trains momma". Absolutely loves it. A great train table with storage. lots of pieces to keep him entertained for hours. thomas trains work with track.

            I was impressed with the quality, having decided not to pay the extra $200 to get the Thomas Train Table my son's cousins have. The KidKraft has solid construction, brightly colored painted details, and endless hours of quiet entertainment. It comes with police/fire/ambulance vehicles and buildings--very important to a little boy.

              easy to assemble, but easy to break too. will be replacing two supports under main table. one side of table was warped but i'm confident these will be righted by parent company. lots of stuff on the table-should make for good time once santa brings it. train and car wheels are rather cheap and table design doesn't flow with train track lay-out. makes no sense, but overall i'm happy.

                  We love this toy. It's kept in one of the kids rooms and both kids go to play. They work together, share and have a great time imagining. We use Thomas trains but the setup comes with plenty of trains, cars, trucks and people if one didn't already have a Thomas collection. The traintracks are wooden and very durable as are the toys. We did take away some of the plastic items (bridge for one) because my 1 year old at the time was not ready to take care of those items. All in all, this has been a great toy for us. Still loving it a year later.
