I purchased this product for my neighbor last Christmas. He was going to use it at a family reunion but before the guests arrived it burst into pieces. Luckily there wasn't anybody close to it. His sister was going to get her camera to take a picture and before she got back with the camera it burst all over the garage floor. Has there been a recall on these?

I am using this to brew Kombucha, a effervescent spirited tea. The method I'm using requires a spigot, so that I may be able to brew continuously, dispense and drink as I'd like. The top seems to creat a nice buffer, and seal, however It is not air tight, so far this hasn't been a problem but I'm keeping tabs on it. Thanks, this product was exactly what I was looking for, and at a great value.

The dispenser was perfect, I bought two. The large capacity was excellent, no refilling during the event!The spigot worked flawlessly.I would really like to have a third!! It is large so care needs to be taken with washing and moving. Fill it when it is in it's location for serving.

I looked everywhere, off & online, for a beverage dispenser that was inexpensive, larger than a gallon, had something other than a cheap plastic spigot, was attractive and would work easily with any style setting. I couldn't believe it when I found this piece!! It is gorgeous, huge capacity, with durable thick glass and the spigot works beautifully, and the price is GREAT! Used it for a shower and everyone loved it. In fact, a friend fell in love with it and had to order one for herself. The only problem I encountered was when I first ordered two of these, on one the lid fit in the dispenser perfectly, but the second one's lid did not fit in the dispenser at all. I called Meijer requested a return and ordered another one. That one's lid also did not fit in the dispenser. Finally the fourth time was a charm.

I order this dispenser because it was within my budget. Once it arrived I was thrilled about 2 things: the heavy duty grade spigot and the size of the dispenser. I was not thrilled with the thin glass that was use to make the dispenser. This Item is great for three reasons: (1)the price,(2) if you are looking for a dispenser in this price range and (3)you don't want to purchase the plastic look alike dispenser.Overall,it's an okay buy.

I buy water in gallon jugs to save money and to reduce waste. I had been using a plastic dispenser, but I recently read that it was better to store water in a glass container due to some of the chemicals in plastic so thus began my search for an attractive, fairly priced, glass container with a spigot. The first glass containers I found online were $100+, so I was THRILLED when I saw that Meijer carried a comparable product for MUCH less. I was more than pleased when I received the container. It was very securely wrapped for shipment and when I finally got a look at it, it is exactly like the glass containers I have seen in bars and at weddings holding sangria and lemonade. I absolutely love the product, but I love getting a QUALITY product for a great price even more. Thank You, Meijer!!

I originally bought these (we ordered 4) for my wedding, which is october of next year. I compared prices and sizes with tons of different dispensers. most plastic dispensers are $25-$50 and hold either 1 gallon to 3 gallons. Finally i came across these and they were glass and hold 4 gallons which is way more practical, so you dont have to refill as often. We have used these numerous times for many different occasions and haven't even made it to the wedding!!! Also, they are beatiful and ive never used a drink dispenser that the flow is quick normally takes forever!! So, basically these are the best dispensers anywhere, and definately do not hesitate to purchase this! [...]
