        I bought it for protein shakes for breakfast (yogurt, fruit,& milk, or shake mixes). To clean it, I simply stick it in a glass of water and give it a whirl or 2. I have not tried it with heavier jobs, but bought it for the fruit mixes and am very pleased during the 6 months I have used it.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            this blender stopped working the second time i used it. I have not had the time to send it back yet, but i'm glad that I got the warranty. Surprised, because it comes reviewed well in a respected cooking magazine, and disappointed by it's quick failure. Overall, two thumbs way down.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
