I'd order extra freezer cups. Seems like I can't save up enough frozen bowls.
I wouldn't use regular ice chips as it puts a strain on making shaved ice.
And it is very loud but worth the noise as the
shaved ice is better than a heavy blender which
cracked under the same pressure.
Buy a second one so you don't have to order extra cups and blades. You never know if the motor breaks down in the middle of winter and you can't find another til spring like I did.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
