Comments about Intex Round Metal Frame Swimming Pool - 24 Feet x 52 Inches:

We are a large family with an infant and taking the rest of the kids to the river every day was becoming wearisome. The pool is large enough you aren't running into each other and deep enough I can "swim"... Which I need to do for arthritic reasons. Great pump, filters seem to last. Only thing we really don't like is the ladder. Poor construction and not very sturdy. We are in the process of building a deck so we wont need it much longer, but if the ladder is important, you may need to find one sturdier. All in all we are very happy with the purchase and my 6 year old loves the free sandbox. My 6 mo old will love it as well when she is big enough. Definite recommendation!

huge pool nicely made only hang up is the ladder and vac other than that set up was fairly easy and you need to put patio blocks or something of that nature under the end of the poles or they will sink into the ground make sure you are on a level ground and you are good to go

Comments about Intex Round Metal Frame Swimming Pool - 24 Feet x 52 Inches:

Overall, I am satified with my purchase. The only problem I have had has been with a hose that had to be replaced as it was not glued well and began leaking immediately after installing.

Comments about Intex Round Metal Frame Swimming Pool - 24 Feet x 52 Inches:

Overall assembly takes longer than described. Pay special attention to leveling. We used sand and thought all was good, but the weight of the water caused settling changes. Wish there were other choices in color or appearance.

The size pump and skimmer keeps water crystal clear! We have had it up for about a month.

Anyhow, we are SWEET SUMMER SWIMMIN' and Meijer rocks!

Comments about Intex Round Metal Frame Swimming Pool - 24 Feet x 52 Inches:

We set the pool up in a day, but we had a lot of rain and as a result some of the legs sank in the soft earth. We had to rebalance one side as it ended a couple inches short on one side. but, we really like the pool and would recommend it as a much more inexpensive alternative to a more permanent type of pool. Be sure to follow all instructions for assembly.

Comments about Intex Round Metal Frame Swimming Pool - 24 Feet x 52 Inches:

This pool must be taken down every year in the Midwest and Great Lakes region, so there is additional water expense for refilling. The pool itself is very easy to repair with patch kit if it becomes torn, but surface needs to be dry when patch is applied, and it is a good idea to make the patch about double the size of the actual repair to insure water tight seal. The filter pump provided is underpowered for the amount of water processed and I burned through the first filter pump before the first season was over. I went through the manufacturers website, and bought a larger filter pump directly from them at a reasonable price. The larger filter pump also means that vacuuming is much more effective. I wouldn't recommend spending the extra for the salt water processor instead of cholorine, because salt is sodium chloride and in the presence of sunlight and water the salt breaks down into what is essentially chlorine anyway. I found that if you are vigilant about skimming off leaves and debris and you vacuum regularly, you can get by with alot less actual chlorine and still maintain clear water. The pool cover provided was somewhat stiff and hard to put on and off with only one person. It also tore easily where the drawstrings meet. I replaced it with a solar cover-also through the manufacturers website, and that is alot lighter in weight and does a great job of warming the water. In fact, during the middle summer months, I actually have to either add some additional water from the hose or leave the cover off to cool the pool (It started to feel like a hot tub instead of a pool) You would probably want to buy a bigger strainer net than the one provided as it can be somewhat of a long reach to get to all parts of the pool. I also bought a vacuum head that had additional scrub brushes around the edge which seems to pick up more debris. Finally, take the time to be really careful when assembling that the ground is truly level, or the support posts can buckle and the side wall collapse if ground is higher at one end or the other. If you aren't sure, you can put patio blocks under each of the uprights to keep them level with each other and prevent collapse. We had some serious rain storms last season, and I did have the pool actually overflow due to rainwater-that did tear the cover, and combined with wind did collapse one side far enough for us to lose about 1/3 of our water...the side did come back into line and we were able to refill-a permanent hard wall pool would have simply overflowed. But a permanent hard wall pool would also cost about 3-4 times as much for same size. The cartridges for the filter can get costly...I did find out that they can be cleaned and re-used by submerging them in a bucket of muriatic acid and water and then flushing them thoroughly with clean water. I have two cartridges for the season and while one is in the filter, I am cleaning the other. I find that changing them about every week to ten days is most effective. The vacuum is most effective when the cartridge is clean. I also bought mine at end of season and saved a goodly bit of money on clearance The ladder is a bit shaky for adult users, but more than adequate for kids
