This dresser when put together is made of shoddy materials. The drawers are not very deep and they do not stay on the rails when closing and are crooked never fitting properly. The dowels to hold the top to the dresser broke after moving it across the room! Very poor quality! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! We returned it and got a refund!

We bought this dresser to go in our toddler's room. My husband used to work at Meijer assembling furniture, but he had a difficult time getting it together. Many of the holes in the pieces didn't quite line up. One was so bad he actually had to take apart the pre-assembled part, move it, drill new holes, and put it back together. It was a big hassle, but it was a decent price. Once assembled, it seemed sufficiently sturdy (though we decided to anchor it into the wall for safety with our daughter being a big climber), and it was very pretty. It won't last a lifetime, but it will work well for a kid's room.

Yes, this dresser took a long time to assemble. Finished product is great, all the screws lined up fine. We've had it about a year and it still looks and works great.

I see my first comment has been removed from this page. So, I will begin anew! I guess I must weigh my words as not to offend anyone and be more politically correct.This dresser was a nightmare to put together. Oh the drawers were perfect to assemble but, then it was all down hill. Some of the braces that go on the rails that the drawers slide on are made out of PRESSED PAPER not wood! So, when you try to tighten the bolts it rips apart. None of the screw holes matched up etc, etc.For your own sanity don't purchase this [*]. Oops there I go again this will probably be taken down too. We sent it back and will continue to take back all of the [*]that falls apart.

very poor jointery wood cracked on every one of the turn lock hardware. Screws stripped out on the draw backs very easily using just a screw driver by hand. back to the store with this one.

This dresser looks very pretty. We purchased it for our granddaughter'r room.
My husband is a machinist and believe me he knows how to put things together. However, after having no problem assembling the drawers, things started to go very wrong.
The braces that hold the channels for the drawers to slide were made of PRESSED PAPER. None of the screw holes matched up and he spent a long time trying to adjust each screw to fit the hole. Then when he tried to tighten them with the round tightening locks it would just tear the pressed paper and everything would have needed to be glued.
After 3 hours we just said forget it and took it back.
The manager at Meijer was wonderful about taking it back and all went well there.
Now we are off to a furniture store to get the next dresser. For all of you that had not ONE problem, I guess you just had one that was perfectly made. As for us we will be returning every piece of junk from China that is not functional.

There are only 3 things required to construct this dresser a Philips head screw drive, hands, and common sense. If you lack any of these requirement id suggest you buy your furniture pre- assembled. This item took little under an hour to put together as the side rails are already installed, the insturctions are clear easy to read and the hardware is in a seperate blister pack clearly labeled. For any one who had to glue this together or broke something while assembling well....your doing it wrong!
I only rated this product 4 stars because, I wanted to and nothing is perfect.

I bought this dresser for my daughter's bedroom. I liked the look and the price. However, when I got it home and tried to put it together, I quickly became frustrated! The drawers went together easily, but once I tried building the actual dresser, the smaller pieces started cracking and breaking. It is not as sturdy as I hoped.

This dresser is very cute. Once put together, however, the drawers immediatley started to wobble and one of the pieces inbetween the drawers broke off, its very un stable and will have to be glued together. I recommened using wood glue inbetween each piece you screw together. Its ok for a 7 year old, but not going to be anything long lasting.
