Hunter PermaLife 547 Large Room Air Purifier Plus Ionizer
Designed for large rooms up to 483 sq ft, this Hunter PermaLife 547 Air Purifier Plus Ionizer changes the air up to 6 times per hour and provides a CADR of 329 for smoke, 330 for dust, and 330 for pollen. The purifier also comes equipped with a PermaLife permanent cleanable filter that effectively captures 99-1/2% of all airborne particles as small as 1/2 micron in size that pass through the filter (such as dust, smoke, pollen, pet dander, and other irritating allergens). Even more, a separately controlled ionizer distributes negative ions throughout the room to speed up the cleaning process.

For 30% better odor reduction, the unit's separate replaceable carbon prefilter reduces cooking, tobacco, and pet odors, while also capturing larger dust particles, lint, and pet hair from dirty air. Other highlights include digital controls, LCD display, a NiteGlo light that illuminates the screen with a soft amber glow, filter clean/change indicators (PermaLife filter can be vacuumed clean every four to 6 months), automatic safety shutoff, and a snap-on front grill for simple prefilter replacement. A convenient remote control and a Hunter 30901 prefilter come included.

          unit a little pricey but well worth it... we use in our bedroom... used to have sleeping issues, waking up all clogged up, headaches etc - all solved!... air quality has improved 100%... you can see all the debris you would have breathed in when you check the filter!

            We have a wood stove, and this does a tremendous job on less dust. We just can't even believe how much less dust!! We wish we would of done this 10 years ago. This one is rated on Consumer Reports as quiet and good with larger rooms. It is. There is nothing we do not like about this item.

            I am very pleased with my purchase. I think this is a great deal for the money. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and noticed a difference within 24 hours. For the first week I ran it all the time, but now I just run it at night when we are asleep. It's a little noisy on the higher fan speeds and I wish it came on wheels for easy transport, but those are my only two complaints. I would highly recommend this product.

            Have an old house plagued by dust mites ... and a French Bulldog that is allergic to them. Since plugging in the unit my sinuses cleared and my dog is not scratching constantly. It's loud but effective.
