                We have a large landing area upstairs where the kids like to watch tv and congregate. I wanted a piece of furniture that was more interesting then just a table or bookcase. Our new fireplace was the perfect addition! It warms the area in two ways, it puts out some nice heat and it looks so rich, warm and homey! The remote control is easy and the flames look very authentic. The bricks in the background are a wonderful touch. We are very happy with our purchase and the price was incredible! [...] We are not big online buyers but were so pleased with our experience. We would definitely buy from Meijer online again!

                  This fireplace was purchased as a stand for my new 46" tv. Looks great. Realistic flame. [...] Does put off some heat but you really have to be in close proximity to feel, makes my living room a bit warmer. My only real complaint is it does not make crackling noises like real fire does. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. Great item for the price.

                      This fireplace is awesome for the price. I purchased my first home & really missed not having a fireplace for our rainy winter months. This is super nice, creates the ambiance I was craving, & is great for the environment. I have small children as well & the glass stays cool. The heater works well if you're in front of it, but I don't know how well it would heat a whole room. That said, it is in our living room which is quite large. Overall an excellent value for the price & a nice looking addition to our home.
