I love this machine. I found that changing the attachments for the hardwood and carpet options turned out to be easier than I first expected. They just pop in and out. I have ceramic and slate tile, and carpet that I've cleaned with this. Due to the variation in the slate tiles, I do not use the "squegee" attachment, because I found that it fell off (but didn't miss it). I make a few extra passes after I'm done and the floor is pracically dry. The only con that I found with this was the weight. I do not have many stairs so it hasn't bothered me, but for those of you looking for something light, this is not for you; otherwise, it was a great purchase that I use at least 1x per week.

Does a great job on our carpets. We have a large family and it's hard to find something that can clean our messes well. This does a great job.

We used this to clean our carpets from pet stain and high traffic areas that get dirty quickly. We would buy this product again in a heartbeat.

You will not be disappointed in this product. It works great on hard floors and carpet. I read a ton of reviews before deciding on the Hoover. I like one machine for all my floors. I did my carpet one night after work thinking that it would have all night to dry but by the time I went to bed the carpet was dry.
Some reviews complained about leaking water but you control the water with the trigger on the handle. If you are getting too much water guess who is to blame?
I've used it a few times already and am happy with its performance. I hope it lasts for a long time.
