    In the beginning this was a great vacuum but after a few months it lost some of the suction especially in the tools. Filter requires frequent cleaning(after each use)and have even replaced it once(nearly $30!). Even with a new filter and extensive cleaning did not get the same suction it had when it was new.Very disappointing!

    I think the vacuum was great for about the first year... Then after that, things started going severely downhill.

    I vacuum frequently, but live in a smallish apartment with not a lot of carpet. I'm certainly not harsh with my vacuum, but within a year, the "power paw" attachment quit running, and the plastic pieces that hold the attachments on the side have broken. I've lost basically all suction, even with frequent cleaning of the canister/filters (I have two cats), and even a newly cleaned brush stops spinning during vacuuming on carpet... It's very frustrating!

    I attempt to use it on hard floors, but I think it is very unsuccessful. Because the brush spins (and there is no shut off for hard floors), it basically just shoots the particles everywhere, rather than sucking them up.

    Overall, I think the vacuum just doesn't last... It was great when I first bought it, but the quality and performance decreased with age. I wouldn't recommend this vacuum to those who vacuum frequently, have pets, or want a reasonably priced vacuum that is worth the money.

      I've always owned a regular upright, and always wanted to try one of these bagless ones, specailly because of allergies. This vacuum is WONDERFUL, don't know why I waited so long to get. It is a very powerful machine. And since using it, the allergy symptoms have subsided quite a bit, by removing the dander and animal hair. Easy use for all cleaning, especially with the attachments. Makes it very easy to get to hard to reach cobwebs, curtains, etc. Even use on kitchen floor. A very good investment.
