My husband and I are budget shoppers who usually suffer from sticker shock when it comes to large purchases. We spent a couple days debating whether we should order this kitchen island during a fantastic online sale. We were concerned that even at Meijer's nearly half price discount, it was still a lot of money to spend on furniture we hadn't seen in person.

BOY WERE WE WRONG!! AFter we did some investigating and found that other retailers were selling this island for nearly $1000, we decided to take the plunge and are we glad we did!

This product is made of high quality real wood and the parts that are composite (bottom of drawers and inside shelves) are good quality also. The cherry top is beautiful. My husband's comment has some adjectives that I can't publish on line ... but let's say he's "enthusiastic" about the top.

This island is very solid and heavy. We got our money's worth in weight. However, we'll be able to move it around the kitchen when we decide to rearrange the furniture.

Construction took my husband nearly 4-5 hours to assemble. He's done his share of assembly over the years and did appreciate the easy assembly instructions. They led him step by step through the process easily. The length of time is due to the fact that the unit is completely disassembled in the boxes. A nice touch from the manufacturer is that they include two Allen wrenches, 1 regular and a 2nd that fits into a cordless drill bit. Additionally, even with all the assembly that was required, every hole and joint lined up properly. We had all necessary pieces! Manufacturer included a small assortment of extra hardware - screws etc.

I absolutely love the upgrade this island has given my kitchen! We are in the process of remodeling, however going quite slowly. Now I"m ready to pick out new counter tops, paint and get rolling with the entire project!!

We highly recomend this product!!
