This is a very heavy piece of furniture once it is put together. The assembly is not the easiest, but it also is not that hard. The fold down breakfast leaf is a very poor design. I had to get heavy gauge screws, drill larger guide holes, and then use wood shims (cut and glued to the underside) to get the leaf from angling down. The first time my son (9 years old) leaned on it before I did that, it nearly broke off. However, after making those fixes, it became the best piece in the kitchen.

I purchased this item for my kitchen, because I didn't want a table and chairs anymore. It looks great. The only thing, it scratch easily.

I have been wanting an island for several years but finally decided to do it! I looked and looked but when I saw this one...I didn't feel the need to really look any further. This island had all the features I wanted including the small shelves on the sides for some of my cookbooks and to feature some of my favorite shelving items! The molding on the island looks very nice and makes the unit look professionally made. My husband put it together by himself and he said it was not that difficult at all. It took my husband and son to move in the house because of the weight. I am very pleased with the quality for the price! I could not be more excited about my purchase. I look forward to many years of use out of it but more so as a beautiful addition to the kitchen.

It was very heavy and hard to assemble. We are dissappointed in the quality of this island. It really doesn't assemble properly. There is spaces and gaps that look terrible. We did consider sending back but we didn't because we did not want to have to take apart and pack to send back.

This product is used in our 25 year old kitchen. Fit in perfectly both from a design and color perspective. Very impressed with the Quality and weight. No CHEAP looking unit here!!!!

This fits perfect in my kitchen. It's very attractive and looks great. I almost wish that instead of the small shelves on the sides that they used that space for cabinet storage. Although this was easy to put together I would have changed the order of the first couple of steps just because it was much easier. But overall I am very happy and satisfied with this product.

It is a beautiful island that is well built and sturdy. It can be moved with some difficultly to another spot if desired, with the help of another person. It did not come with chairs, so they are to be bought separately. [...] The one problem we had was with the brackets that came preattached...the screws were stripped so the ledge is no a sturdy as it should be. And the screws were unevenly placed where to doors go so you have to lift up to close it otherwise it will just keep reopening.Other than those minor defects it is a beautiful addition to our large kitchen. Great for storage and added seating. Use it to eat at occasionally, and to display plants and pictures in the side shelves.

I would purchase this Kitchen Island again and again. Great product for the price, solid wood great design. It took my husband and I about an hour to assemble. This is a great addition to my Kitchen.

i use it every day. i love it, the price was right and assembly was a breeze. i put felt under the legs and it moves very easy on my new wood floor with no damage to the floor.
