      Looked all over for a black pedestal table that would be large enough for the family, but small enough to tuck into a corner of our kitchen. I love the design of this table and it seems to be very good quality (way better than a few Ikea pieces we have and much easier to assemble). It took me about 3 hours to assemble the entire thing and we've eaten on it every night for the past 3 weeks. It is very stable. We have an infant and were even able to attach a high chair with no legs to the side of the table without any concern of it falling over. The legs on the pedestal stick out to really stabilize it. I will probably buy some cushions to attach to the chairs to make them a little more comfy. My only concern is I slid a plate over it the other night and it seemed to leave a mark. We'll probably have to use place mats to not scuff up the top.

          Use every day as a kitchen set. Chairs do not fit under table as well as anticipated. Takes up more room than desired, but this is due to pedestal.

            Appeared to be well made. Took several hours to assemble, but no real problems. Chairs do not go all the way under the table so it takes up more room than anticipated.
