It great look for the money am looking for granite top as top is not for food prep the black looks great nice construction but do have to dust often but love the look and value received in 2 days easy assembly boxes are heavy but that only shows item is not flimsy but sturdy

I bought this as an addition to my newly remodeled kitchen and dinning. I use the top for my knife blocks, coffee grinder, picture frames and a lamp. It looks great with my dinning furniture. Cannot complain about the piece at all other than every spec of dust and every pet hair shows up due to the black finish. I have to clean it often. Shelves are not suited for large items so I put my cafe cups and saucers on them for a decorative feature only. Inside storage is great for larger frying pans and blenders. Love it for a dessert table during the holidays too. A must have!

I have been eyeballing this item for over a year now and it was worth waiting for!

My kitchen cabinets are buttercream in color w/SS appliances and grantite countertops w/a blend of black and brown coloring. My small kitchen appliances are black and SS, so I thought the black color choice would blend well and I wasn't wrong. It looks rich & along w/my red accents it adds that little bit of "pop" I was looking for. The area we placed it in is about 80"x104" and there is ample clearance and then some when the the dishwasher and cabinet doors are open so it doesn't give you that cramped feeling at all.

The only down side is the size & weight of the two boxes it came in. Not a job for one person since it took the both of us to shove & slide those boxes up the steps to assemble.

On the bright side, my husband & I were able to put it together in no time! Nothing was damaged, directions were easy to follow and all the parts were there including a few extra screws and pins. My husband is a material snob & he was very pleased with the workmanship and material.
I can't wait to finally put it to use and I would highly recommend this!

It's a nice piece. The top scratches easy and shows every little speck of dust and crumb. Other than that, we have really enjoyed it.

Overall construction was easy. You definitely need two strong people. This piece is very heavy. That being said, the two legs on the side broke off while assembling it. They weren't even attached yet and they broke. The top has a lot of "don'ts". If you want it for extra prep station, I would advise against it. What was neat is that the drawer opens from either side as does the cabinet space underneath. Lots of storage, but the display shelves on each end are really not very tall.My husband liked it alot better in the house rather than in the picture. For the money, it's okay, but I'm still looking at other options for an island. [...]

This looks like a nice piece of furniture and is high quality. I added a piece of white marble to the top and it looks like it's worth thousands. Meijer has the BEST prices on the Internet. You won't find anything near this quality for this price.

this kitchen island is absolutely beautiful and priced extremely well compared to others. believe me, i searched and searched to find an island i could afford, but i never thought i would find one as pretty as this one. very heavy and substantial. Big, but VERY easy to put together in about 20 mins.
