This lamp appeared exactly what I wanted, a 3 way on top that could be kept low for mood, and a gooseneck that held a 60 watt bulb for focusing on pages for comfortable reading. It was easy to assemble and looked good in black for any décor. However, bulbs would not work in the gooseneck part, and upon inspection, the socket was not wired properly (compared it to the top one) and light bulbs would not work in it. I will try again because this is a book-lovers dream lamp!

    We bought this lamp in black at our Meijer store on Friday and have no regrets, especially since it costs less than 20 bucks. Our living room is well lit, and I can read comfortably. My husband took less than 10 minutes to put it together. The lamp complements our maple wood laminate floor and black electronics very well.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
