My 1 year old received this as a set with the Playskool gears tablet and the push-pull gear critter. Sorry I don't know the exact names. She likes the gears and the gears are interchangeable between the 3 toys. She figured out the ball drop quickly and how to pull off the gears to hold and look at but pushing the red button to make the gears spin is a bit hard so baby has to lean and bear down a bit. Not a big deal and my girl is petite so she has to try a bit harder on some things. The colors are captivating and she wants to crawl over and check it out frequently but doesn't spend a lot of time with it at any one time.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
