1 Syringe = 0.46 oz (13 g); Rid Worm Paste - Prime Rib Flavor. Dog wormer for removal of roundworms. Each syringe treats 90 lbs. Easy-to-use, prime rib flavored paste wormer for puppies and adult dogs.
  • 1 Syringe 0.46 oz (13 g)
  • Ingredients: Active Ingredient: Piperazine (from Adipate) 2.70 g (20.8%).
  • Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasites. For removal of large roundworms (ascarids) (Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonina) in puppies and adult dogs.
  • Dosage and administration: 30 mg piperazine per lb body weight. Remove the cap and push plunger just enough to fill nozzle. Turn the knurled wheel on the plunger to the weight marking that corresponds to the weight of the dog. Insert syringe as far back in dog's mouth as possible and press the plunger until it stops. Or add the dose to the feed. For animals 1 year or younger, administer every 2 or 3 months; for animals over 1 year of age, administer periodically as necessary. A repeat treatment should be given in 10-20 days to remove immature roundworms which may have entered the intestine from the lungs after the first dose. If your dog looks or acts sick, consult your veterinarian before treatment. Storage: Store out of direct sunlight and at controlled room temperature between 59-86°F. Keep container tightly closed when not in use.

Precautions: Although piperazine is a drug with a wide margin of safety, occasionally an animal may show nausea, or muscular tremors. Such side effects are usually associated with over dosage. Therefore, recommended dosages should be followed carefully. Animals with known kidney pathology should be treated only by a veterinarian. Do not use on sick or debilitated dogs. Not for human use. Do not use on puppies less than 12 weeks of age. For animal use only. Keep out of reach of children.
