I bought this air conditioner for my upstairs bedroom. My husband installed it in less than 30 minutes. It started cooling my room very quickly. I actually woke up cold in the middle of the night. That's something my old air conditioner could never make me do. I don't understand the bad reviews. I couldn't be happier with this model.

In 70-80 degree weather this seemed to work ok. Not amazing, but I could feel a difference. In the nasty 100-degree heat of this past week it barely cooled the place by ten degrees and it's in a small apartment! Now that the heat and humidity has dropped, I'm far cooler by opening the windows and turning on fans. This unit does NOT work! I am returning it for a completely different brand. The fan runs continuously, but even if I set the unit to cool to 60 degrees, it will drop by two degrees (so 82 degrees), then shut off. The energy saver mode is even worse. I've had this unit three weeks and all my visitors have said it should be working much better. My place should be cooler, it is large enough to cool the entire room, but it's been nothing but a waste of money. I've uninstalled it and will be repacking it to return.
