I bought this for a gift for my mother- she is still old fashion and she percolates her coffee still she said its getting harder and harder to wait for the coffee to perk and make sure its completely done - so I bought her this coffee maker - its small and not bulky, it has the options to program things which is cool - all in all it was worth the money and she couldn't be happier -

Well here is one of those classic examples of getting what you pay for. Not that this will stop me from seeking out deals and always looking to save a buck, but for a few dollars more (Hey isn't that a classic Eastwood flick.) Anyway, the so called "pros" on this machine are that it is easy to clean and has a large pot. Then again I have yet to see or own a coffee maker that isn't. Maybe with the exception of my mothers newest household edition which I am pretty sure takes flight nightly around the globe, as we drift into slumber with dreams of that morning cup of deliciousness, selecting only the freshest and finest beans, vacuum sealing them for the highest quality in taste and aroma and returning for that morning brew beckoning us with sweet soft tones of exotic flavors and undiscovered locals, oh but I must digress. This coffee maker was cheap, but ultimately the heating element went kaput, the pot and reservoir are not on equal measurements for capacity and it just stopped making coffee. All this in about six months of purchase. It was a housewarming gift which I selected... from my mother. I was trying to save her a buck or two. Several lessons learned there. Fortunately, for me she still had her substandard maker in the garage. Which I was given for free. It is five or more years old works like a gem. It is lacking the lineage and passport that her new one has for nightly travel, but then again it retails for around [...] Spend an extra $10 to $15 and get yourself a maker that will be around for your next birthday. REMEMBER TO RECYCLE!!!!

Comments about Grand Gourmet Programmable 10-Cup Coffee Maker - White:

I bought this product on clearance; it had features that drew me in to buy it. I can't get the programmable feature to work, the coffee filter folds over while brewing, even though I fill the pot with water to make 10 cups, it makes 8; a bad purchase all around.

Comments about Grand Gourmet Programmable 10-Cup Coffee Maker - White:

Used this everyday. It was messy and tricky to use until I got used to it. It's a nice compact size with not much to clean. I can't get the clock or programming to work, but I don't really care. I can't find a replacement carafe that will fit, so i'll probably have to get rid of it soon.

Comments about Grand Gourmet Programmable 10-Cup Coffee Maker - White:

Although this brews the coffee very quickly, the coffee filter always ends up folded inward and coffee grounds end up in your pot in large quantities. The worst part is that when you pour coffee into your mug, it drips down the front and leaks coffee all over your counter. This happens even when you pour slowly and are extremely careful. The only positives are that it is easy to measure the water, it is programmable, and it is inexpensive. Look for a different coffee maker.

Comments about Grand Gourmet Programmable 10-Cup Coffee Maker - White:

This is a horrible coffee maker....I get 1 pot out of it and then chaos hits, it leaks when brewing and spills all over. The pot itself leaks when pouring. I've fixed the clock on my maker 10 times and it still is 12 hours behind when I fixed it! Worst coffee maker I've ever owned.

Comments about Grand Gourmet Programmable 10-Cup Coffee Maker - White:

I use my coffee pot everyday, I love the style and it fits well on my small counter. The thing I have a problem with is that the filter collapses as the water drips down causing the grounds to spill out of the filter into the coffee pot. It has also clogged up and overflowed onto the counter. I found that if I take the filter and fold it into a little pocket and set it in the coffee maker it works great. I have a problem with the pot dribbling as I'm pouring into my cup as well. Thank goodness it's easy to clean because I'm cleaning up alot.
