  • 1 Bag of 11.5 oz (326 g)
  • Ingredients: Unsweetened Chocolate, Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Milk Fat, Soy Lecithin, Vanilla. Stovetop melting instructions: Place chips in double boiler over gently simmering (not boiling) water. Stir chips constantly until melted.
  • Suggested use: Microwave melting instructions: Heat chocolate in a microwave safe container at medium power (50%) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Stir until bowl no longer feels warm. Continue heating at 15-30 seconds intervals, stirring until smooth. Store in a cool and dry place.

    Ghirardelli Bittersweet Chocolate Chips are the consummate dark chocolate chip. Any recipe that calls for a chocolate chip will go from ordinary to extraordinary with these.

    I've used them in everything from chocolate chip cookies to taramesu. I've melted them to dip pecan - caramel candies or flavor fudge frosting, ground them with cocoa to dust Taramesu or with powdered sugar to dust sugar cookies or dark 'snowball' cookies and in chip form in many bar cookie recipes as well as trail mix.

    A little more money, yes, but well worth it. You can really taste the difference.
