We use this product about every 7-10 days, and have had it for over a year now. Even with arthritis in my hands, it is easy to clean. I have also put it in the dishwasher and been very pleased with the results. I will say we have found that meats cook faster than the stated times in the guide. I have recommended this to several family members.

This was my second G.F. grill, hoping for more convenient features. The "Precision Grill had the features, but after purchase, was disappointed. The BOTTOM plate never got hot enough to brown/grill the food. It would cook it to a nice shade of gray, but no grill marks or grilling of any kind. The top plate preformed as it should --It GRILLED!!!! Anyway, the feature of this unit are/where great: On/Off switch, Temperature control/gauge, Adjustable Timer, and so on... I haven't given up on the Champ...looking to purchase the "G-Broil" version.

plates do not stay on grill

Comments about George Foreman Next Grilleration Jumbo Grill - Platinum:

I bough this product thinking it will be good for cooking hamburgers inside and easy to clean. It was good at cooking hamburgers and easy to clean. I like being able to take off the plates and putting them in the sink. it is a lot easier then to take the plates of then washing it when they are still connected. The plates do not hook on very well the top plate would fall off all the time we thought it was just us not getting it on right but it just dose not want to stay on.

Not like they used to be

    By DisappointedToo

Comments about George Foreman Next Grilleration Jumbo Grill - Platinum:

We had an older model for a long time that was great and was my go to appliance in winter when grilling outside ain't too fun! It did an excellent job and would give the food char marks just like a real grill. The non-stick coating finally started to wear after many years of abuse and we received this new model for our wedding. Not impressed at all- you can only get the temp as high as 425 and it never browns the food no matter how long you let it preheat. Hardly ever use it and when I do occasionally pull it out I'm reminded why it stays in the closet so much.

    Would not recommend

Comments about George Foreman Next Grilleration Jumbo Grill - Platinum:

Tried a sirloin filet and chicken breast, on different occasions, using 425'. HA! Not even gonna describe result's. Used a Greenlee THH-100 IR thermometer and best temp I could get after even 10 minutes warmup was 325 on what was supposed to be 425. Plus funny smell even after burning in plates multiple times. Save ur money and do anything else BUT............!

I agree, I does not get hot enough

I bought this to replace my original Forman Grill. Today I'm cooking boneless skinless chicken breasts. I have the grill at maximum heat, they have been on for 19 minutes and are still pink in the middle. Very disappointed in this grill.

good but could be much better

    By DonB

Comments about George Foreman Next Grilleration Jumbo Grill - Platinum:

This is my third GF grill exactly like this one. My only complaint is that the Teflon coating of the plates bubbles up after 2-3 years of careful use---no metal cleaning or serving instruments have ever been used on these plates. Obviously I like the product but I find this frustrating.

    Steamed

    By Sanbo

    from Undisclosed

Comments about George Foreman Next Grilleration Jumbo Grill - Platinum:

This model will not produce enough heat to "grill". Meats are steamed and take quite some time. The preheat signal for 425 degrees sounds after 4 minutes but the grill does not actually reach 425, ever. Cleaning is easier than other models.

This unit shows the digital temperature has been reached, but takes an extraordinary amount of time to cook. Case: Three (3) hamburger size sausage patties took almost 21 minutes !!! Very disappointed

Not hot enough and too slow to heat up

    By KimR

    from Portsmouth NH

Comments about George Foreman Next Grilleration Jumbo Grill - Platinum:

We originally purchased this grill about 10 years ago. It worked reasonably well and we used it often for cooking bacon and grilling meats. We thought it would be better if the grill went to 450 degrees, but it did the job. The heating elements and grill surface were wearing out, so we purchased a new grill to replace it. Although it is basically the same design, we noticed the grill plates were better attached, but this unit only came with one drip tray and no special scraper. However, this grill takes 9 minutes to get to 400 degrees and only made it to 425 once in three uses. At 400 degrees, it takes a very long time to grill bacon and other meats, and there is no searing on the surface. The old grill went to 425 in about 3-4 minutes and definitely seared the meats. It seems others are having similar temperature problems with newer models, so we are returning this unit and not asking for an exchange.

It would have been nice to have a cooking guide to show suggested cooking temp's and cooking times. Like the grill, much easier to clean than my old one just want the suggestions.
