This machine is great for my 3 days a week high intensity cardio workout without the bulk of typical elliptical trainer. I have no need for the bells and whistles on those machines since my high intensity workout is short.

          Comments about Gazelle Supreme Trainer:

I am in my fifties with bad knees and this trainer is perfect for cardio exercise without the hard impact on the knees or ankles. This is a total workout. I had one of these that I used for about 5 years and when I moved last year it got damaged so I joined a gym. After one year at the gym and spending way too much money, I bought another Gazelle. I get a better workout with this then being at the gym with all of their equipment and half the money.

Arrived four weeks late. My original had multiple cylinder setting for resistance this has only one. After a few minutes use the left cylinder went bad. 40 minutes on hold with Gazelle Fitness for a new part they sent me some plastic covers the cylinder NOT a replacement part. I have emailed to let them know the mistake three days ago with no response.

            Comments about Gazelle Supreme Trainer:

The point where the "piston", which looks like an automotive shock absorber, meets the frame, there is too much play. This causes a lot of noise.

              Comments about Gazelle Supreme Trainer:

My son had ACL surgery so we needed something he could use to build up his strength and endurance again (football player). His PT said this is a good start for him. My husband and I both have other knee problems that make working out a challenge sometimes, so it's good for us as well. We live in WA state, so other than paying to go to a gym, we'd rather work out at home when it's ugly and gloomy outside...which is most of the time. Getting older and lazily hibernating in the cold has caused me to gain quite a bit of weight.
I've tried other workout machines, but so far I like this on the best.
I heard people saying it doesn't give them a good workout, and I believe that they're using it incorrectly. You need to use your muscles to keep gravity from letting you move "lazy" like into a free drop swing or push & pull with your arms correctly instead of just holding on.
I haven't used it with the resistance yet, it's a little too much for me. However, I like the option and the men feel safer (more study) when it's on.
It's not silent, but it's not so loud that it's irritating. It's louder with the resistance on.
I think the only things I could complain about is that my other water bottles fall out of the holder so my husband put a tubing within their holder to keep them from falling. The other thing is that with bigger motions or stretches my feet tend to move little by little coming to the edge of the foot rest. I wish that the lip surrounded more of the platform 'cause I'd hate to have my foot fall off while in motion.
I haven't used it for very long, but I have lost some weight. I can also notice a difference in my knee. Normally when I'm walking (say at the store) with my husband and trying to keep up with his stride, my knee starts to hurt and burn in a short time. I've noticed the last few times I didn't have any problems with my knee that made me walk slower or stop completely.
It's nice to jump on it when I have some time. I just pop in a favorite show and go.
