I have tried all flavors and mixed berry doesn't taste funny at all. All the others you can taste the whey ingredient. I have hypoglycemia and it seems to help maintain a normal sugar level without raising it to crash later. However, if you are really low on sugar it wouldn't be quick sugar spiker by any means. The protien keeps the sugar absorbtion regulated.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
