Hair color can cause an allergic reaction which, in certain rare cases, can be severe. Therefore, you must follow these precautions: Do not use if: you have already had a reaction to a hair color product; you have a sensitive, itchy or damaged scalp. If you have a tattoo, the risks of an allergic reaction may be increased. Perform a skin allergy test 48 hours before each use of this product. Remember to buy your product 2 days ahead of time. Avoid contact of this product with eyes and skin. If product gets into eyes, rinse immediately. Wear gloves provided in kit. Thoroughly rinse hair after application. Do not use over compound henna or progressive color. Wait at least 14 days after bleaching, relaxing or perming before coloring. Keep product out of the reach of children. Do not apply on children. This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary test according to accompanying directions should first be made. This product must not be used for dyeing the eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness.

Okay so first off I love love love garnier products because of the way it makes my hair FEEL, but this hair dye is horrible. The dye smells terrible and will stain every inch of the bathroom if you arent careful. I have naturally dark-ish auburn hair and I've been expierimenting with dye for the past year or so now. Although, as I said, it makes my hair feel great, it makes it look LAUGHABLE. IT TURNED MY HAIR MAGENTA!!! I look rediculous and I can't get it out! I can't say what it would do for other colored hair, but I can assure you, AUBURN HAIR AND GARNIER R3 DO NOT MIX WELL!!!

    First time colring hair in the red family. love the way it came out. Not so bright just perfect. Only thing it looks black when taking a picture but in person its a brownish red more red though.
    The only thing was that my hairline was hard to get off and my scalp is very red. hopefully that should fade soon. Overall its very good and the oil that comes with it smells great!

    This is my new favorite hair dye. I'm a fan of Garnier products in general and have used a lot of different hair dyes, including several of Garnier's (different lines and colors). I am accustomed to being disappointed in the color of many dyes, both the freshly-dyed color and the faded color after a week or more. But this dye is simply amazing. For once the box description does not lie: this really is a gorgeous, intense burgundy-red. I haven't had color like this since I started dying my own hair. I adore this product and recommend it for those seeking a bold color result in the red/burgundy family. That said, if you prefer more natural colors, this is probably one to avoid.
