Garmin nuvi 255 GPS Navigator
The nüvi 255 GPS navigator leads the way with voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions that speak street names and optional MSN Direct to get you there on time and keep you informed. It's packed with millions of destinations and maps for North America or Europe. The nüvi 255 comes ready to go right out of the box with preloaded City Navigator NT street maps, including points of interest (POIs) database with hotels, restaurants, fuel, ATMs and more. It even announces the name of exits and streets.

Simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, and nüvi takes you there with turn-by-turn voice directions, 2D or 3D maps and smooth map redraw rates as you navigate. The nüvi 255 sports a sleek, slim design and fits comfortably in your pocket or purse. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes it convenient for navigation by car or foot.

With its "Where Am I?" emergency locator, you always know your location. Simply tap the screen to get your exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and fuel stations. Navigation is just the beginning. The nüvi 255 includes many travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator, and more.

      Product is great to use. This is our 2nd Garmin and it works great for my daughter. She travels to school and other places remotely and it works great. My husband and I actually took it on a trip recently and without knowing where we were going Garmin directed us accurately and timely. Never got lost.

              We use this GPS both for casual, every day use and for vacations. It's wonderful having a reliable GPS that allows us to leave on a trip without worrying about what local stores/restaurants are in the area until we're there and ready to search for them. The only draw back I've had with this GPS is occasionally it acquires satellites slowly (especially if we were several cities away from where it was last turned on).

              We used the product on vacation and it did pretty good. the only thing we found is when you miss a turn it incourages you to do u turns.

                Works great. I travel a lot for my job. So this makes it easy to use rather than signing into Mapquest before I leave for an appointment. Mapquest is not consistent on directions. With my Garmin, I have not had any problems finding my way!
