Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords is a PC strategy game in which the players take on the role of leader of a space-faring civilization. Players direct their civilization's military, colonize planets, establish trade routes, fight wars, research new technologies, sign treaties, build up their planet's industry and economy, and ultimately battle to control the galaxy. It is the sequel to Galactic Civilizations, a game that won Turn-Based Strategy Game of the Year from GameSpy.com, as well as Editor's Choice awards from several publications including Computer Gaming World and Computer Games Magazine.

    Wow, I cant believe no one has reviewed this game yet. This is one of the best games i have ever played. I wasnt too sure that i would enjoy a turn based game, but being a sci-fi nut i gave it a shot and im glad i did, it has become one of my favorite games, and now im no longer scared of turn based gameplay.

    Making your own ships to do combat with is so fun and so detailed that its a game to itself, you can literally create anything you want.

    This game is way more fun then i have would have ever expected and would highly recommend this for anyone trying to decide. Grab then expansion pack that just came out, it totally changes the game but in a good way.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
