French Bread and Pizza Mix - 6 Boxes (22 oz ea)
1 Box = 22 oz; French Bread and Pizza Mix. Gluten/wheat free. Trans fat free. Cholesterol free. About the Gluten-Free Pantry: When my son and I were diagnosed with celiac disease, the inability to digest gluten, our food choices became very limited. As a professional chef, I was making wonderful pastries, pizzas, and breads for others, but couldn't eat any of them myself. I began experimenting - making the same recipes but substituting gluten-free ingredients. The results were delicious. No one guessed they were made without gluten. I wondered if others might enjoy some of my treats, so I turned my favorite recipes into gourmet baking mixes. Today I am pleased to share Gluten-Free Pantry mixes with everyone who needs a gluten-free and wheat-free diet. Right now, there is no known cure for celiac disease, but it can be controlled by a lifelong adherence to a strict gluten-free diet. The Gluten-Free Pantry is here to help provide safe, delicious foods for that diet. After all - there's no need to feel deprived just because you can't eat wheat or gluten! Product of Canada.

- Ingredients: White Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Corn Starch, Guar Gum, Granulated Honey, Salt, and a Packet of Yeast.
- For French Bread You'll Need: Entire bag French Bread and Pizza Mix; Enclosed packet of yeast (2-1/4 tsp). Combine: 1-3/4 cups lukewarm water or milk, 1 tsp. cider vinegar, 1 tbs honey or 1 Tbs sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter, and 2 eggs plus 1 egg white or 1 egg and 3 egg whites lightly beaten. Large Bread Machine (2 lb. capacity): Set machine on white bread and medium settings (follow manufacturer's direction for Gluten free baking). Short cycle and programmable features may be used. Follow manufacturer's instructions for order of adding yeast and wet and dry ingredients. Press start. During first kneading cycle, open lid and use rubber spatula to help mix dough. If dough appears dry and crumbly, add warm water 1 tbs. at a time, mixing after each addition until dough is smooth and thoroughly moistened. For best results, remove baked bread immediately and cool on wire rack. For 1-lb. bread machine, divide ingredients in half. Oven method: Lightly grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Pour mix and yeast into large bowl. Combine remaining ingredients and add. Beat 2 minutes using a heavy duty mixer. Scrape dough into loaf pan. Cover with plastic wrap. Let rise 40 minutes in a warm place or just until dough rises to the top of the pan. Brush with 1/4 tsp. beaten egg. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake 40-45 minutes or until golden and hollow-sounding when tapped. Turn onto rack. Cool completely. Slice, wrap, and freeze. For pizza: Preheat oven to 450°F. Prepare dough as in oven method. On lightly oiled cookie sheets or pizza pans spread dough to desired thickness. Cover with favorite toppings. Bake 15 minutes or until edges of crust are brown.
